Katie at
Oui, Bien Sur tagged me in a 20 questions game, and I am so happy to play along! :)
Rule #1: The tagged person must write their answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
Rule #2: Tag 4 people to do this quiz. The tag-ee must state who tagged them.
1. If you have pets, do you see them as merely animals or are they members of your family?
Ha! This question made me laugh so hard--our pets are definitely our children. I carry them around (not Rex--he's too big!!) like babies. I don't know what I would do without them! We have two cats and two dogs (so far!!) and I can't imagine what it will be like when we add in human babies! :)
2. If you could have a dream come true, what would it be?
I had to think for a long time about this...I think it would be to have my dad with me on my wedding day. I just want the things other girls dream of--being walked down the aisle and the dance with their dad. I don't want to wish for a happily ever after or anything like that because I think the journey is what makes life fun. :)
3. What would you do with a billion dollars?
Wow! Not just a million! I would start a charity for little orphan babies. :) It would probably be in Kenya because I have such a heart for the people there after spending time there volunteering. Since Rob won't let me adopt a hundred babies I would just spend my time loving on them until they found homes! And, I'd have my own private jet so I could fly back and forth to see my friends and family whenever I wanted! :)
4. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?
I'd say 90% of the time when I'm in a bad mood it's because I'm hungry or tired. I haven't progressed too much from being an infant. :)
5. What is your bedtime routine?
I almost have to read to fall asleep. I also have to have a glass of ice water, too! I am currently reading Les Mis, but I'm excited to start Black Heels to Tractor Wheels even though I won't be participating in the book club because I'll be on my honeymoon!! :)
6. What activities did you do in High School? If you could go back, would you do the same stuff or something different?
I was pretty involved in things like Academic Team, Science Olympiad (nerd alert I know!) and I played volleyball for a year, was in the marching band for a year...I tried out a lot of stuff! I wouldn't want to go back so I'll just take the same stuff again. :) (If I HAD to go back, I'd probably play soccer or something because all of my friends did :) )
7. What kind of books do you read?
I read a lot of bestsellers, but I also have a few favorite authors that I have tried to read all of their books--L.M. Montgomery, John Grisham, John le Carre, and John Irving. Rob is trying to get me to read some Tom Clancy, too! I also LOVE me some chick lit especially after a tough read! :)
8. How do you see yourself in 10 years?
This is such a fun question! I'll be 37 so...I'd like to have had a bunch of babies and adopted a few sweet ones as well. I like to think Rob and I will be so crazy in love and living in a house we built to match our lifestyle. The employment question is a big mystery--and I can't imagine what I'll be doing!
9. What’s your fear?
My biggest fear used to be that I would end up alone. Now I'd say my biggest fear is losing Rob or not being able to have babies.
10. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the opportunity to see outer space?
No way! There's not very many things I love more than some Sour Patch kids. :)
11. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Check the time to make sure I didn't oversleep. :) Last night I woke up at 6:30 am and I was SO excited to be able to go back to sleep for a little bit longer. :)
12. If you could change one thing about your significant other, what would it be?
Hmm... I think I'm pretty blinded by love right now so ask me after we're out of the newlywed stage :)
13. If you could pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?
I used to really hate my name, but now I am so happy with it! I can't imagine being anything else. :)
14. If you had to choose between six months of sun or six months of rain, what would you choose?
Six months of sun FOR SURE! I think a better question would be would you rather have humidity or something else... Humidity is the kicker for me a lot of the time! :/
15. If you could only eat one thing for the next 6 months, what would it be?
I'd be REALLY happy with sushi or the Vietnamese soup, Pho. I could also be real happy with some gluten-free sausage pizza. :)
16. What is the thing you enjoy about blogging the most?
I REALLY like the record I have of my life--especially throughout the wedding planning process. I also am so happy to have met so many wonderful women! And, of course I like getting a peek into other people's lives, as well!
17. Do you prefer salty or sweet foods?
Hmm...I think salty because I LOVE chips and salsa and popcorn...But I sometimes just have to have something sweet--especially some chooclate :)
18. What items are in your purse right now?
Oh good grief... I have basically my entire life in there! My wallet, chap stick, lotion, tanning lotion, lip gloss, a pedicure gift card, a notebook for lists and ideas, a million pens, some cold medicine, cough drops, benadryl, tylenol, headphones....I'm going to stop here because the list is never ending!
19. Name three things on your bucket list.
This question wasn't actually on the survey--in fact there wasn't a number 19! So--I created one! The three things I want to do are--get married, have lots of babies, and travel throughout South America. Ta da! :)
20. What do you watch on television that you know you shouldn’t?
Hmmm I think I just have a hard time letting go of shows that I'm not interested in anymore... I keep having so much faith they will get better again! Ha! I haven't watched NEARLY enough tv lately though, so I think I am ok on not watching tv I shouldn't, at least for now. :)
Here's the people I'm going to tag:
Ha I'd have to agree with you on not wishing for "happily ever after" - although I'd like a happy ending, I think the bumps are what adds to everything. (At least this is what I am trying to remind my self.)
Also - I noticed that 19 wasn't on there too!! I'm dumb, oops!
