I have so much to catch up on from Christmas and New Years!! This past weekend was MLK weekend. I didn't get Monday off of work, but I still wanted to have a good time with the boys!
Rob has been dying to get me to watch Star Wars with him. I didn't grow up on them and honestly didn't care if I ever saw them, but we did start watching them. We started with #4 on Friday night and it was really good! We had an easy pasta dinner and after the boys were in bed we had a fire and relaxed while watching. I am back into knitting again and this is the perfect time of year for it! I am just working on some washcloths right now, but have some yarn coming my way for a prayer shawl for a friend. :)
My mom and cousin arrived late on Friday night to spend the night before flying out of Columbus early on Saturday morning. I took them to the airport and came back home to spend the morning with my family. There was a train show in town and if there is anything Henry LOVES, it is trains. :) We packed into the car and headed downtown to check it out. I wore William which I honestly don't do enough. He loved it and I did too. Henry could barely take his eyes away from the trains to pose for a picture! HA!
After we came home, it was time for naps and cleaning house. I wish I had napped a little myself because I was really tired later in the evening. Rob picked up pizza for dinner and we watched a little of Star Wars after the boys went to bed. I was in bed by 10--I was just so exhausted! (I feel like this is a running theme of my life these days!)
Sunday morning we were up for church! William is borrowing a few pairs of his cousin's shoes and I think they are so cute on him. :) William LOVES them too!
Henry really loves the nursery at church these days which makes things nice for Rob and I during the service. William was loved on by a couple of different ladies at church and that made my heart really happy. It is a lot of work to get out the door and when the service is great and you feel like your family is happy, it is all worth the effort!
William really enjoyed loving on his dad later in the day. Most little kids are really interested in Rob's beard and William is no exception. He could not get over it and had the best time petting Rob's face. Such a funny memory. :)
Sunday evening Rob went to our friend's to play poker and I had some friends over to play games. We are obsessed with this board game, Ticket to Ride, and take any chance we have to play it!
Rob got to stay home with the boys yesterday and I am so thankful. It is really, really cold here and I'm glad the boys didn't have to get out in it. I know they had a great day of playing trains and legos. William is pretty enamored with his big brother these days, so I am sure the highlight of his day was chewing on a spare lego. :)
