Our weekend was so much fun! Rob was out of town for a camping weekend, so Henry and I were solo. I was honestly a little nervous about having Henry all by myself, but it ended up being really fun for both of us!
Henry wanted to take a couple of his cars to bed with him and because it was a special weekend, I let him. I cracked up so much at home racing them around his crib.
I also let him take a bath in our big soaking tub in the master bathroom. Henry LOVES organizing my shampoo/body wash bottles so I put a bunch of travel size ones in the tub with him. Such a hit--I couldn't hardly get him out of the tub!
On Saturday morning, I got up and ready before Henry was up so that we could have some fun together. I wanted to take Henry to a nearby apple orchard that has tons of activities for kids. Henry LOVED the orchard and had so much fun.
Like I said...Henry loves his cars :)The slide at the orchard was a really big hit. He kept cheering "WHEE" every time he went down the slide. I couldn't stop laughing at him--he was just so so cute. I felt bad when some other kids wanted to play on the slide, Henry just didn't get that he had to share.
After we played for awhile, we went through their awesome market. I bought apple butter, pumpkin butter, and lots of treats for us both! Such a fun day.
On the way home, Henry fell asleep. This seriously NEVER happens anymore, but it was so darling! I was worried he wouldn't want to take a real nap, but he must've been so worn out from playing that he took a rockstar nap!
While Henry was napping, I did a lot of cleaning, laundry, etc. I did have some time to catch up on our DVR, which also never happens! I am loving Madam Secretary, A to Z, and Manhattan Love Story--all of them are new shows. :)
Louisville played Clemson on Saturday and they had the cutest fan rooting for them! We didn't win, but it was a really good effort and the game was so much closer than I expected it to be!
Henry went to sleep like a champ on Saturday night (such a blessing!!) and slept all night again for me. Rob was home pretty early on Sunday morning which was perfect because I was helping at church that morning. I had to be there early, and Henry wasn't even awake yet!
When I got home from church, Henry, Rob, and I had lunch together and played awhile before it was his naptime. Henry definitely likes it better when we are both around and it was so evident that he had missed Rob during the weekend. After Henry's nap, we met up with Rob's family for a belated birthday dinner. One funny story about dinner--when the server was taking everyone's orders she paused on Henry and he said "Mickey!" like it was something he could order at the restaurant. So so funny and such a good story about what stage of life Henry is in right now. :)
I hope you had a good weekend, too!
