I find it so hard to believe that this pregnancy is nearing an end. I have felt so many mixed emotions these past few weeks about the baby coming. have also really enjoyed being pregnant! There have been some stressful moments and some times when I felt like I was 100 years old, but overall I have really loved getting to feel the baby move and kick. I love knowing Little Bit is always with me and that I can keep him/her safe all of the time. I find myself talking to the baby or just rubbing my belly in general...I know I will miss these moments so so much!
I am getting so excited to meet our little baby, though! I can't wait to find out if we have a little boy or a girl. It thrills me to no end to think about kissing those sweet little baby cheeks and playing with their little fingers and toes! I am so excited to bring our Little Bit home to their nursery and settling into life as a family of THREE! :)
Of course, one big thing stands between now and coming home--the actual delivery of the baby! I have been doing some internet research about what to pack when we go to the hospital, but I'd also love your advice! What are some of the things you brought that you couldn't live without? What about some of the unnecessary things you took with you? I've never spent the night in the hospital, so I am a little bit clueless as to everything I'll need. Thanks in advance friends! :)

Oh my gosh, how is it that time already!?!?! I'm so excited for Little Bit to come, too! :)
I've heard that you'll want to bring those ginormous pads (the biggest you can find) for after the birth. (Welcome back to seventh grade!) Some friends of mine have even suggested bringing adult diapers!!!
Also, I've been told to bring my own medicine kit (with tylenol and the like) since stuff like that is super expensive through the hospital. Definitely bring a jacket for temperature/ hormone fluctuations.
I can't wait to see what makes the final cut. I'm glad you're doing well in the countdown days!

Lotion, all the antiseptic and cleansers they use will dry your skin out. Chapstick, and makeup. (I know this sounds crazy, but you quickly feel better afterwards when you can start putting yourself together.)I also really liked having my own baby blanket and outfit for both my girls, the things from the hospital are nice, but I wanted to settle both of mine into their own things pretty quickly. I liked having my own nightgown too. Once the baby is born it just helps to get into your own things.

I'd love to hear what people have to say about this! My advice is just don't forget chargers for things-camera and cell phones for one! Our hospital is about 30 min from our house so if we forgot something like that it would take the hubs an hour to get it. Ekks. Also, I always have socks or slippers because those floors are not clean! Maybe I'll copy your idea and do a similar type post on my blog so we can compare responses! :)

Shampoo and Conditioner and flip-flops! Because you will be so ready to take a shower! Most hospitals only have shampoo for patients (and it's terrible), and you will want easy shoes to walk around in (and shower in -eww.) You are almost there!! Relish those glorious nights of sleep!!! :o)
Oh! And not necessarily something for you to pack ... but definitely bring home the bulb suction they will give you at the hospital. Trust me, those are FAR SUPERIOR to the bulb suctions you buy at the store, which are useless. The hospital ones work so well. Ask for an extra one if you think you will want it, too. It will come in handy for the first year or so when Baby gets a cold.

Bring depends! I know that sounds crazy but the pads just move around a lot and this way I knew I was fully covered. I bought these really cute nightgowns to wear at the hospital but honestly didn't wear them. I stayed in the hospital gown because it was easy access for nursing and I wanted it to be super easy those first days. I did have some nursing tank tops that I do wear under the gown that way I wasn't fully exposed. I did bring a robe to cover up when we had visitors and when I would walk the halls. Definitely bring slippers and don't forget all the chargers you will need for cameras computers etc. I brought some litte outfits for our little one and some swaddle blankets. Don't forget the going home outfit too! You are so close!!
