I have heard some really funny stories about things people have said to pregnant women and just laughed, finding it hard to imagine that people I know would say these things to me. Oh how naive I was! There have been plenty of things people have said to me that I have just had to completely laugh off to keep from crying. I thought some of you might get a laugh hearing about some of the things people have said to me--basically from the beginning of my pregnancy!
-From a coworker...
"You really need to watch what you're eating. I think your weight gain is out of control." -said to me around 20 weeks
-From a family member...
"Look at Becky! She's getting fat!" -said to me around 18 weeks
-From another family member...
"Are you sure you're going to be able to fly? I'm not for sure you can fit in an airplane seat." -said to me around 25 weeks
-From someone at church...
"Can you still fit behind the steering wheel?" -said to me around 15 weeks
-From that same coworker...
"I've noticed you've gotten a lot bigger. I think you're so big you'll have the baby early." -said to me just yesterday!
For the record, the only acceptable things to say to a pregnant woman are:
1. You look so beautiful pregnant.
2. I think you are glowing.
3. I love everything you've picked out for your baby and/or nursery.
4. I haven't noticed you being hormonal at all.
What's the craziest thing someone's said to you?
Are you freaking kidding me? Wow, people have some nerve. I would have punched them!

Oh my gosh! The weight gain comments are just ridiculous!! Baby belly doesn't NOT equal fat! I had a worker at our favorite local pizza place ask me if I was pregnant when I was only 7 weeks, and I think I made her mad because I told her I didn't want the pizza I was ordering anymore, but instead I'd rather like a salad. Way to make me feel fat, lady, since I wasn't even showing at the time!!!

I had so many inappropriate things said to me nobody would believe it. I'll tell you a few after the baby gets here. :)

Those are hilarious and CRAZY! Seriously... you'd think that they would hear the words coming out of their mouths and realize how they sound! I just caught up on your posts- you look great!
