Last night Rob and I had a Groupon date night! I probably only purchase groupons a few times a year, but in the past couple of weeks I have found some pretty good ones! One was to a tapas restaurant downtown called Barrios. I have been wanting to go here for ages and the Groupon was perfect! Rob and I enjoyed some yummy tapas including bacon wrapped dates, a locally sourced chicken tostada, and a tomato stuffed with cheese and spinach on a bed of quinoa. Delicious! The pictures I have of our food look kind of gross, so instead I will just show you a picture of the interior! Isn't it so cool? I love the different pieces of wood that make up the ceiling!
After dinner, Rob and I used another Groupon to go to the movies! I made a deal with Rob to see all of the Star Wars movies when they come out in the theater in 3D. I thought there were only a few, so I didn't think I was getting myself into too much. However, there are SIX!! Did you know that?! Anyways, the movie was fine--especially because it was in 3D. I've heard the movies only get better from here, so I am looking forward to that--or else I might be taking a little nap in the movies. ;) We also were given popcorn and a drink as part of our movie deal! :)
Most exciting part about our date night? $30 worth of Groupons=$90+date night! Success :)
What a cute idea! I love saving money, too, so a dinner + movie date night on the cheap is always a welcome time. I remember promising my boyfriend in college (who was a total Star Wars fanatic) that I'd watch all the movies with him thinking that there were three or four tops...12 hours later, I was still sitting there watching the movies! They ended up being a lot of fun, and I'm glad I saw them, but I bet they'd be even better in 3-D. :)

What a good deal!!!! I haven't used groupon even though I've heard alot about them. I wish I had pre-planned to try it for my birthday!
