I'm almost a week late posting our NYE, but it's better late than never! Rob and I went to the UK v. Louisville basketball game at Rupp Arena on New Year's Eve. Rob is an alumni/huge fan of Ohio State, but he was a champ and wore a Louisville sweatshirt to the game. Even though we lost, Rob and I still had a great time at the game!
After the game, Rob and I headed to our bed and breakfast in Harrodsburg, KY. We had the most beautiful drive there! It was part of the Scenic Kentucky Byway and it absolutely made me want to move there. Such a gorgeous drive!
When we checked in, I made Rob walk through the gift shop with me--look at these awesome Louisville glasses! They were expensive--at $28 each--but it still made me so happy to see them! Instead of the glasses, Rob and I picked up a Christmas ornament at 50% off to commemorate our trip. A much better deal! :)
Here is one of the beautiful rooms in the inn. I loved looking at all of the furniture! This was truly one of the most beautiful places I've been to visit!

In the evening, Rob and I headed out to the restaurant at our inn. We had 7:30 dinner reservations. We were a bit skeptical, but the food was amazing! I had put a note on our reservations that I was gluten-free. The server was totally prepared and knew all of the gf selections for me! I ordered the rib-eye and it was probably the best steak I've ever had. My sides were greens and mashed potatoes. All-around the most delicious meal! :)
After dinner, Rob and I headed back to our hotel room to watch the ball drop and ring in the new year! I think I fell asleep before 12:15... :)
The next morning Rob and I woke up and had a lovely dinner at the same place we had dinner. The buffet was just as lovely as dinner. After breakfast we showered and packed up the car to head home! I really enjoyed this getaway with my most favorite person! Happy New Year friends!
What a great New Years!! I love that y'all stayed at such a cute Inn, I think that makes the trip so unique!

What a fabulous way to celebrate NYE! I'm bummed UL did not win, but a good meal at a beautiful B&B totally makes up for it. :) Didn't realize you ate Gluten Free ... my Mom has Celiac, so I understand your appreciation of people who care and are prepared. Happy New Year!
