This weekend was really low-key, which is nice! Everyone by us was prepared for a major winter weather storm that never materialized. We were supposed to get tons of ice, lose power, be stuck in our homes, the whole bit. When I woke up early on Saturday, we barely even had any rain!
I was due to run with my running group, but was back home by 8 AM. Rob and the boys were starting to stir so we all got ready and went to Bob Evan's for breakfast. It is always risky to take the boys out to eat, but it is something Rob and I are becoming slightly more brave about. Slightly. :)
The boys were pretty well-behaved and William cleaned his whole plate. Both boys had the kid's french toast and loved it! I loved this picture of William studying his menu. :)
After breakfast, Rob and I took Henry to one of his friend's houses for a play date. He was there for about 4 hours and had the best time! Rob and I ran a bunch of errands with William. It honestly may be one of the only times we've been alone with William. It was so weird! We were back home a little after lunch and I got to watch Louisville beat Duke!! I love this picture of Rick Pitino--my favorite coach. :)
I picked up Henry from his friend's and brought him home for naptime. I ran by the library and picked up a few books that have been on my request list for such a long time. The John Grisham book has been on my list since October! Picking up books at the library is like shopping to me. :)
Saturday evening Rob made us a great steak dinner and we got to spend some quality time together as a family. Rob and I both fell asleep on the couch watching Spectre (for the second night in a row!!). Sunday morning brought church and a really good brunch cooked by Rob. We're trying to get into French Press coffee again and after having a delicious cup Sunday, I don't know why we ever stopped! The boys took great naps while Rob ran some errands and I cleaned the house/did laundry. I am so bad about leaving tons of laundry to fold at one time. I think I folded 6 loads of laundry! In the evening, we had several of our friends over to hang out and watch football. It was the best ending to a really great and relaxing weekend.
Back to the grind! :)
